2014 Club News
Pan Pacs – 6-8th November
A very special day with a year long goal being achieved. Today I became the Pan Pacific 200m butterfly champion ahead of guys from NZ and USA and in doing so set a new record. I also finished 2nd in the 400m freestyle. A huge thanks to my coaches and peers especially Adam Biesler, Peter Mauro and Kirsten Molloy.
Presentation Day – 9th February
A lovely sunny day greeted about 30 lawn bowlers for the annual presentation day at Lowlands Bowling Club.
Unfortunately the standard of bowls has not improved since last year but the friendship and willingness to make a fool of ones self has shown a marked improvement.
President Mike welcomed all and announced Jeanne was our club champion for 2013, followed closely by Robin and Wendy.
Other presentations were made to Michael H, Bill, Carl and Kay for their point score achievements at BPS carnivals and Maureen, Alan and Emma for their aerobic points.
Special awards went to Tracey for recognition of her swim time improvements and Michael H for the most attended meets.
Rookie of the year was Cherie and the encouragement award went to Karen.
Coach Adam made special presentations to Gail (leader of the group), Craig (I can fly) and Paul (Most annoying curious).
